Canyon Walk
Words and Music by Nancy Freitas
I can't believe this feelin'
Sunshine sends me reelin'
Goin' round in circles
Up and down it's purple splashes on the hills
I can smell the wild flowers in the air
Warm sweet scent caresses my skin bare
Fluffy clouds float by, blue skies everywhere
Breeze blows through the canyon
Water wraps around the rocks
And we walk
And we talk
Up above the red hawk passes by
Circling on the warm breath of the sky
In the creek the ducks go for a ride
Red fox drinks, runs to hide
Breeze blows through the canyon
Water wraps around the rocks
We shed our shoes and socks and slip in
Crickets call from corners you can't never see
Snake grass buzzes, or is it the bees?
Rocks are warmed by the sun
wish we could stay 'til evening comes
Breeze blows through the canyon
Water wraps around the rocks
You hold my hand
Meadows green with grass, waves like the ocean
Listen to those bullfrogs croakin'
I can feel my heart beat in my bones
You could say it's a heaven I have known
Breeze blows through the canyon
Water wraps around the rocks
And we walk, and we talk
We slip in, you hold my hand
And we kiss, and we kiss,
And we kiss, and we kiss,
And we kiss, and we kiss,
And we kiss
