Hi folks, we are playing for two shows for Taste of the Valley which is a wine and food pairing event.

The first one is the kick off dinner for the event. Tickets are available at www.alexandervalley.org or call 707-431-2894. This show is Friday the 6th of June and starts at 5:30 pm. I believe these tickets are $85 and include dinner and wine pairings the night of and entrance into all the winerys participating in the event for the weekend. but check out their web site for all the details.

The next show is at Asti Winery for Souverain Winery's Taste of the Valley event. That show is on Saturday the 7th of June. We start playing at 1:00 pm.

Hope your summer is starting off well, all my best, J.R.

We're preparing our new Open Hearts Trio CD for release. It has 13 songs - we're not superstitious! All of the recording is done, except for a few minor details. We'll send it off for manufacturing Real Soon Now.

We perform in a variety of configurations to fit the venue. Everything from trio to full 7-piece band.

Most often lately we've been 5 pieces, as seen in this photo from the annual Cloverdale Scarecrow Contest.

Our CD "Show Me More" is out! We're real happy with the quality of this recording, which took nearly a year to produce. It's available now at our gigs and by mail directly from the band. Read more about it on our Music page.

Also, we now have the lyrics to Show Me More here online. Click here or on "Words & Music" in the sidebar to the left.

On New Years Eve 2003 we played (and recorded) a party for our friends in Healdsburg. John's tongue-in-cheek country tune called "Early Mornin' Want Yous" captured the spirit of the evening. Here's a recording of the song in mp3 format:

stereo mp3 for broadband connections

mono mp3 for modem connection

A few snapshots from gigs past

On Saturday April 17, 2004 we played to a packed house at the Healdsburg Bar & Grill. The close quarters made it hard to take pictures, but Lisa managed to snap the picture below of the band in action.

We played at the grand opening of the Underground Cafe in Cloverdale on November 4, 2004. It was great to be a part of this joyful, rockin' party. Sydney Sciaini snapped the band picture above and the one of John playing harmonica below. Thanks, Syd!

Our 1999 "Today and Tomorrow" CD has been remastered for a second pressing. The updated CD has hotter levels to make it more "radio friendly". Of course it will sound better on your home stereo, too.

Also included on the CD is a newer version of "Different Ways" with Bobby Lee on pedal steel. Bobby joined the band in 2001, two years after the original CD was recorded, but John had always envisioned the song with a steel guitar.

The reissue of the Today and Tomorrow CD is available now.

John was featured recently in the Healdsburg Tribune. We got permission to reprint the article here.
